Privacy policy

Effective 3 September 2026. This policy covers the Uncommon Tanks app for iOS and this website. It is written to be read, and every claim in it about the app can be checked against the app's source.

The short version

No account, ever. There is nothing to sign up for. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
Your progress stays on your phone.Stars, credits, ammo, settings and the game's own gameplay statistics are stored on the device and never sent to us.
Online play is Apple's.Matches run through Game Center under your own Apple account: your alias, your hull and each turn's orders, stored by Apple for the match and by nobody else.
Ads are optional and third-party.Rewarded ads only play when you press a button to watch one. They are served by Google AdMob, which has its own data practices, described below, and which you can limit.
We do not sell personal data.We have none to sell. The only parties that process anything about you are Apple and Google, under their own policies, for the features you use.

Who we are

Enyo Technologies ("we", "us") publishes Uncommon Tanks. We are the controller for the little processing this policy describes as ours. Apple and Google are independent controllers for the processing they do for Game Center and advertising respectively; we do not control it and this policy points you to theirs.

What the app keeps on your device

Everything the game needs to remember is stored locally, in the app's own storage on your phone. None of it is transmitted to us, and we have no server that could receive it.

DataWhat it isWhere it lives
ProgressStars per duel, rank, credits, fuel (lives), the ammo locker, the hull in service, daily reward and supply-drop state, medals.App storage on the device, mirrored to the iOS preferences store so it survives the browser layer's cache being cleared.
SettingsSound, music, reduced effects, vibration, language, your online paint colour.App storage on the device.
CallsignA label the browser build uses online, generated like CMDR-417; on iOS your Game Center alias is used instead.App storage on the device.
Gameplay statisticsA rolling record of the last 300 in-game events (for example "shot fired", the weapon, the rung) with gameplay numbers only. It exists for balancing and has no upload path: there is no code in the app that sends it anywhere.App storage on the device.
Ad ledgerHow many rewarded ads you have watched today and what they paid, so daily caps can be applied. Counts only.App storage on the device.

Deleting the app deletes all of it. If you use iCloud Backup or an encrypted local backup, Apple may include the app's storage in that backup under your own Apple account; that is Apple's processing, controlled by your backup settings, and we never see it.

What we do not collect

Online battles

Online play is optional and runs through Apple Game Center. There is no server of ours: Apple finds the other players, stores the match, and delivers each turn. You need to be signed in to Game Center on your device to play online; the app says so if you are not.

What Apple stores for a match

What other players see

Your Game Center alias, your hull and your paint colour. The alias is set in your device's Game Center settings, not in the app.

What we keep

Nothing. Match data lives with Apple for the life of the match and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. A player who leaves is replaced by a bot for the rest of the match; the match ends with a result per seat recorded by Game Center.

Playing in a browser

The browser build of the game, used for development, can instead connect to a small relay we run. The relay forwards messages during a match and keeps nothing afterwards: no accounts, no history, no addresses beyond the connection itself. Where the relay is hosted by an infrastructure provider, that provider may keep standard connection logs under its own policy; we will name the provider here if a public relay is ever offered.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app can show rewarded video ads, and only when you press a button that says it will play one, in exchange for credits, a repair or an ability charge. There are no banners, no interstitials and no ads that start on their own. The game is fully playable without ever watching one.

Ads are served by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, which is part of the app. When an ad is requested, Google receives information from your device to select, deliver and measure the ad. Depending on your choices below this can include: your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address and approximate location derived from it, device model and operating system version, language, app identifier, and how you interact with the ad. Google is an independent controller for this and describes it in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Your choices

The app also lists Google's SKAdNetwork identifiers in its configuration. SKAdNetwork is Apple's privacy-preserving attribution system: it lets an ad network learn that an install came from an ad without learning who installed it.

Apple Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the app reports your leaderboard scores and achievements to Apple under your Game Center account, and may show your Game Center alias in the app. That is Apple's processing, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your Game Center identifier, your friends list or anything else from your Apple account; the app only sends scores up and reads back whether the report succeeded. Signing out of Game Center in Settings stops it entirely and the game carries on without it.

Apple and the App Store

Downloading the app, TestFlight participation, and any crash or diagnostics data are handled by Apple under your device's own settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements). Apple may share aggregated or, where you have opted in, app-specific crash reports with us; these do not identify you.

This website

This page is a static document. It sets no cookies of its own, has no analytics, and does not track you. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google's servers, which see your IP address and browser details as part of serving them; see Google's privacy policy above. The host that serves the page may keep ordinary access logs.

Children

Uncommon Tanks is not directed at children under 13 (or the age at which a child can consent to data processing in your country, if higher), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. The app has no account, so there is nothing for a child to register. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the online callsign, contact us and we will help; because the relay stores nothing, in practice there is nothing to delete beyond the callsign on the child's own device, which can be changed in the app or removed by deleting the app. Ad personalisation for children is governed by the consent and tracking controls above; a parent can make sure tracking is refused in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal data about you, the practical answers are:

If you still want to write to us about any of this, use the contact below and we will answer within 30 days.

Retention

WhereHow long
Your deviceUntil you delete the app or clear its data. The statistics buffer keeps only the most recent 300 events.
Game Center matchesWith Apple, for the life of the match, under your Apple account.
The browser relayFor the duration of a match, in memory. Discarded at the end of the match.
Infrastructure logsPer the hosting provider's own retention, typically days to weeks.
Google AdMobPer Google's retention policies; see their privacy policy.
Apple Game CenterPer Apple's policies, under your Apple account.

Security

There is no account to compromise and no database of players to breach. Online matches travel through Apple's Game Center over Apple's own encrypted connections. On-device data is protected by your device's own encryption and passcode.

International transfers

Google and Apple process data globally, including in the United States, under their own transfer safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses).

Changes to this policy

If the app starts doing something new with data — an analytics backend, a deployed relay with a named host, a new ad format — this page changes first, the effective date moves, and the app's store listing links to the new version. We will not apply a materially different policy to data collected under this one without telling you.
